In closing their secondary line, last year D&G have defined and illustrated that they are a fashion label known to create a collection of pure indulgence and opulence.
The D&G 2013 collection was inspired from, the tradition of Sicilian baroque. A Master Class in Sicilian Chic. The clothes are the absolute top-end of the luxury market with intricate workmanship and expensive detailing.
It comprised of stunning golden embroideries, delicate lace dresses, capes of various proportions, rich velvets and chintzy tapestry-style patterns in pure Italian fashion style.
The gold embroidery on capes, coats, skirts and boots was designed to “recall baroque mirrors and frames”. Prints of angels and cherubs and patterns inspired by “dining room tapestries” also featured.
If you want to stand out from the fashion norm next winter, this is the collection for you.

Ash footwear represents the design world of  studs and leather. The designers, Leonello Calvani and Patrick Ithier, certainly have taken the studded boots to a funky level.
I own a pair and these boots are comfortable, weather durable, and the stressed leather appearance gives that rock chic look about them. The Italian leather quality feels amazing. The studded boots look great with dresses,shorts, skirts and maxi dresses. The children trainers are very cool and cute.
The stores around Europe contain Leather walls, stone floors, bold graphics and eye-catching window displays. I am loving the 2012 summer collection the metallic colours rock.
I visited the Barcelona store in Spain and a new store is opening soon in Madrid.

Great to read that, London’s liberty has revamped the Dr.Martens by creating a limited Edition using Floral prints. ThisâMade in Englandâ collection for Spring 2012, still holds onto the  Martens sole and boot design. The new revamp look have brought a uniqueness that was needed for this English label to be back on trend for this Spring 2012.
The 14-piece collection is exclusively available in London’s Liberty store on Great Marlborough Street.

Gracie Opulanza is gob smacked at how this brand as exploded into a national worldwide fashion success. The speed of the transformation of UGG Australia is amazing. It is a great example of a brand that has and will not keep still on its marketing approach.
I grew up with this brand and 40 years on and I have to be honest with you, you would not see me dead outside the front door with this footwear. Dare I say it you wonât see me wearing this footwear. I live in a ski resort. No matter how cold it gets, I just canât seem to steer away from my childhood philosophy of keep the boots worn indoors.
Its practical, comfortable all about keeping warm approach, this is why it continues to allow this brand to succeed. The styles have certainly improved since I was a wee girl. They have now expanded to other shoes styles. Which I love just not sure about the price in this current market.
The roots of UGG Australia can be traced back to the sandy beaches of Byron Bay, where Australian surfers began wearing sheepskin footwear for warmth between sessions. Because of an abundance of sheepskin in Australia, the surfers often turned to hand-made basic sheepskin “footies” for natural warmth, comfort and to wick away moisture. It was here that the foundation was laid for a brand that would later become a worldwide phenomenon.
